Vinted doesn't charge sellers in Australia, so a A$50 sale pays you A$50.00. The fee sits with the buyer. Vinted adds it at checkout, and it's usually 5% of the price plus A$1.20. On that A$50 item the buyer pays A$3.70 in fees and A$53.70 before postage.
This Vinted fee calculator for Australia shows your payout and the buyer's total side by side. Type in a price. Add what you paid for the item as well, and it works out your profit.
Vinted fees Australia: what sellers pay
| Fee | How it is charged (Australia) |
|---|---|
| Seller fee | None. Vinted doesn't charge sellers in Australia. |
| Vinted fee (buyer pays) | 5% of the item price. Estimate. Vinted says the fee is usually 5% + A$1.20, GST included, and can vary. |
| Vinted fee (fixed part) (buyer pays) | A$1.20 per order |
"There are no fees for selling on Vinted," says Vinted's Australian help centre. You can list as many items as you want for free. Bumps and the wardrobe Showcase cost money, but you only pay if you pick them. Those are the only Vinted seller fees Australia sellers ever see.
That leaves the Vinted selling fees Australia sellers pay at zero on a normal sale, the same as in the UK.
The Vinted buyer fee in Australia
The buyer pays a mandatory Vinted fee at checkout. Vinted says it "typically includes a percentage of the item's or bundle's price, as well as a fixed fee — usually 5% + $1.20". GST is included. The exact amount can change with the item, the order value and whether it's a bundle.
Here's what a buyer would usually pay on top, using 5% plus A$1.20:
| Sale price | Total fees | Fees as % of price | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| A$10.00 | A$0.00 | 0.0% | A$10.00 |
| A$20.00 | A$0.00 | 0.0% | A$20.00 |
| A$50.00 | A$0.00 | 0.0% | A$50.00 |
| A$100.00 | A$0.00 | 0.0% | A$100.00 |
| A$250.00 | A$0.00 | 0.0% | A$250.00 |
Sellers keep the full item price. The buyer pays the Vinted fee and postage on top.
On a A$10 top, the buyer fee is A$1.70, which is 17% of the price. On a A$100 item, it's A$6.20, or about 6%. The fixed A$1.20 makes cheap items cost more for buyers. Bundling helps them, because the fee is worked out on the whole bundle.
Until October 2026 this was called the Buyer Protection fee. Vinted's launch press release still uses the old name. Some early reports quoted a lower fixed part, but no official Vinted page confirms that figure.
Vinted shipping fees in Australia
The buyer always pays for postage on Vinted. Parcels in Australia go with Australia Post. The price depends on the parcel size, and the buyer sees it at checkout. Vinted doesn't publish a price list for Australian parcels, so the calculator leaves postage out.
Australia is also linked with the UK. A buyer can order from a UK seller, and some of those orders get lower shipping prices. Australia Post doesn't deliver Vinted parcels to Norfolk Island, Christmas Island, the Cocos (Keeling) Islands or Lord Howe Island.
Vinted or Depop in Australia?

On a A$50 sale, Vinted sends you A$50.00 and Depop sends you A$48.40. The Depop fee calculator for Australia has the full Depop rules.
