GOAT fees for a US seller with a good rating come to 9.5% of the sale, a $5 seller fee and 2.9% of what's left when you cash out. Sell a pair for $200 and GOAT keeps $19.00 in commission and $5.00 as the seller fee. Cashing the remaining $176.00 out to your bank costs another $5.10, so $170.90 reaches you.
Use the GOAT fee calculator above to run your own numbers. Pick your seller rating and how you ship, and say whether you'll cash out. Add what you paid for the pair to see profit, margin and ROI, or switch to "What price to list at" to find the listing price for the payout you want.

How much does GOAT take?
On a $200 sale, GOAT takes $29.10 in total if your rating is 90 or above, you use prepaid shipping and you cash out. Most of that is the 9.5% commission. The rest depends on choices you control:
- Seller rating. Everyone starts at 90. Each cancellation knocks off 10 points and each successful sale adds 2, so one cancellation can push you down a band until a few more sales bring you back.
- How you ship. US sellers pay a $5 seller fee with prepaid shipping and $0 with drop-off.
- Cashing out. Moving earnings to a bank account (ACH) or PayPal costs 2.9%. GOAT sometimes cuts or waives this during promotions. You can only cash out once your earnings are over $25.
Here's what you keep at common prices with the standard settings:
| Sale price | Total fees | Fees as % of price | You receive |
|---|---|---|---|
| $50.00 | $10.92 | 21.8% | $39.08 |
| $100.00 | $16.98 | 17.0% | $83.02 |
| $150.00 | $23.04 | 15.4% | $126.96 |
| $200.00 | $29.10 | 14.6% | $170.90 |
| $300.00 | $41.23 | 13.7% | $258.77 |
| $500.00 | $65.48 | 13.1% | $434.52 |

The GOAT commission by seller rating
This is the part that can change your payout the most. GOAT charges 9.5% with a rating of 90 or above, 15% between 70 and 89, 20% between 50 and 69, and 25% below 50.
Drop from 90 to the 70 to 89 band and the commission on a $200 pair rises from $19.00 to $30.00, so you'd receive $160.22 instead of $170.90. In the 50 to 69 band the commission is $40.00 and you'd receive $150.50. Avoiding cancellations is worth more than any other saving on GOAT.
The GOAT cash-out fee
The 2.9% cash-out fee is charged on what you move out of GOAT, after the commission and seller fee. On the $200 sale that's 2.9% of $176.00, or $5.10. Leave the money on GOAT to spend there instead and you keep the full $176.00. The calculator's "Cash out" option shows both.
Drop-off vs prepaid shipping
Using drop-off instead of a prepaid label removes the $5 seller fee. On a $200 sale that leaves $175.75 after cashing out, against $170.90 with prepaid shipping. GOAT's fee page sets the seller fee by the address on your account, and sellers outside the US and Canada pay more.
GOAT or StockX?
With standard settings the two come out almost level. StockX takes a 9% transaction fee, 3% processing and $5 shipping at Level 1, and GOAT takes 9.5%, $5 and 2.9% to cash out. The differences are in the details: StockX's fee falls as your seller level rises, and GOAT's rises if your rating drops. The StockX vs GOAT comparison puts both payouts side by side, and the StockX fee calculator covers seller levels and Flex.
